Using SumTotal Initiatives

Introduction
Learning Initiatives are a way to experience a “choose your own adventure” learning path through various topics. Activities are offered in multiple formats (Webinar/In Person/Online) and may be paired with interactions in SumTotal Communities which you may use to continue the conversation after your Initiative has ended - or interact with members of another cohort!
JOIN THE INITATIVE
Find the desired Initiative in the SumTotal Library.
Navigate to the Academy LMS Initiatives Dashboard (direct link).
Alternatively, you can access Initiatives from the Self menu in the top left of your navigational bar.
(if necessary) Log into SumTotal using your email address and password.
Once on the initiatives page, click on the image for the Initiative you would like to view.
Review the Welcome Letter and complete any applicable required introductory prerequisite activities.
Complete the required activities, then click NEXT to complete each section in the introductory section.
Register/Waitlist for the activities that you are interested in.
Click the REGISTER button, then follow the prompts to complete.
Some activities may appear as LOCKED. This is typically because the activity has not yet been posted, or because of unfilled prerequisites.
If you receive a “You are not authorized to register for this activity” message when accessing any of the activities, please open a ticket with the Academy LMS Team.
Once you are logged in, you will find your progress toward completion along the top of the page (red), and the sections and courses offered as a part of the Initiative below (blue).
