Managing Email Notifications in Blackboard



Purpose: To outline the steps required to manage email notifications from Blackboard regarding new messages, new courses, etc. 


  1. Login to CACWT: https://cacwt.dss.ca.gov/

    1. If you are logged in as a Learner, switch to Instructor

  2. Click “Go to LMS”
    A red box surrounds the words Go to LMS.

  3. On the left panel menu, click on your name

    On the left panel menu, there is a red rectangle that surrounds the user icon and name.

  4. From the System Setting menu, click Email Notifications

    On the right side of the webpage is a section called System Settings. Under the sub section, Global Notification Settings, there is a red rectangle surrounds Email Notifications.

  5. Choose the frequency and for what types of actions within Blackboard you would like to receive email notifications. Click Save.
